Reconstruction
Last Blog of the YEAR!!! Due Wednesday, June 19th. Also, be sure you completed blogs 1 & 2 for this marking period. Remember, 1/2 credit is better than NO CREDIT!!!!
The Civil War was the bloodiest, most destructive war fought on American soil. After four years of fighting, over 500,000 Americans were dead. When General Lee surrendered at Appomattox Courthouse, Virgina, the war was over, but the country would never be the same. How should the North "reconstruct" the South? Think of everything from the economy of the South to how the Confederate leaders might be punished, to how to deal with millions of freed slaves.

How should the North "reconstruct" the South?
ReplyDeleteTo "reconstruct" the south they should tell them they can only have slavery for a minamom amount of time intill they have to get rid of it.
they sould keep slavery gone and not bring it back. the tariffs sould be lower of gone. the confederate leaders should be hanged.
ReplyDeletethis is how the north will reconstruct the south. the north might try to make a big goverment. they might try to get the slaves free because some keep slaves even though we won the war.
